Bio

Hi, I’m Jenn—Mindful Writing Mentor, Author, Creativity Kindler, and Joy Journeyer

At the moment, I help GenXers and Crones unearth their wisdom, heal the hurt, and lay the foundation for making their book dreams real.

With 30 years of experience in journalism, global travel to 50+ countries, and a 3.5-year walk from Bangkok to Barcelona, I bring deep presence, perspective, and joy to the creative process. I guide aspiring authors with a mix of heart, strategy, and somatic awareness—inviting them to write from a place of mindfulness, deep inner truth, courage, and alignment.

I published two books in less than 18 months. Fierce Awakenings: Calling in Courage and Confidence to Walk Life’s Spiral Path is a collaborative book featuring 11 women who said yes to creative reinvention; I was the book’s lead author, organizer, and developmental editor. My debut solo book, The In Between: Journeying From Fear to Courage, examines the emotional stepping stones we find between fear and courage distilled through lessons learned from my 10,000-mile walk. My essays and articles have appeared in Chicken Soup for the Soul, Fortune, The Nature of Cities, Travelers Tales, and more.

Through my Always On My Way business and community, I also create playful and transformative spaces for women to reflect on and reconnect with what matters most, using wonder and awe as the main conversational starters. I do this through in-person and virtual 1:1 sessions, workshops, and speaking engagements.

New-to-me: I’m also now co-running a guest house, Cal Martí Guest Nest, in Catalonia’s wine country.

The pivot I’m in: I’m returning to two core values: Making my life a Joy Journey and helping others to do the same, and inspiring a lasting feeling of being fierce, fun and fantastic. Book coaching and writing mentoring has helped me achieve some of that, but it has also limited me. I’m designing a new business approach that puts the power of transformative facilitation at the heart of everything I do.
