I’ve discovered that my purpose is to help others find and pursue theirs.

I’ve worn many hats and navigated my own career as a team leader, nonprofit executive, entrepreneur, and executive recruiter. It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals during critical inflection points in their careers, sharing what I’ve learned through my own diverse career in Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and the philanthropic sector.”

Katie McNerney is the CEO of Mission Talent Advisors, a leadership advisory firm serving mission-driven organizations and individuals. Previously Katie founded LeaderFit, a national executive search and leadership advisory firm serving mission-driven organizations. Since 2009, LeaderFit has partnered with more than 300 organizations to identify, hire, and onboard senior executive leaders for social impact organizations including World Wildlife Fund, Ocean Conservancy, Share Our Strength, Crown Family Philanthropies, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and Latino Economic Development Center.

Prior to LeaderFit, Katie developed and led organizational strategy, governance, operations, and grant making for private family foundations. Previous roles also included strategy consulting and marketing at Monitor (now Deloitte), Community Wealth Partners, eBay, and Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner). She was selected as a 2019 Colorado Governors Fellow, 2017 Presidential Leadership Scholar, and a 2012 Aspen Institute Socrates Fellow. Katie earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
